• Many slides with high-resolution images
Fixes:
• Optimize media: Compress images, reduce video bitrate
• Use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi for the TV
• Reduce playlist size (fewer slides per playlist)
• Check internet speed: Run a speed test on the TV
• Move Wi-Fi router closer to the device
Ideal: 10+ Mbps download speed on the player device.

Step by Step Guide
Step 1: Check internet speed on the device
Install a speed test app on the device or open speedtest.net in the browser. For smooth video playback, aim for at least 10 Mbps download speed.
Step 2: Reduce media file sizes
Large MP4 files (over 100 MB) take time to download. Compress videos to under 50 MB using HandBrake. Use WEBP images instead of PNG. Smaller files sync much faster.
Step 3: Use wired Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi
Connect the device via Ethernet cable for faster and more reliable sync. Wi-Fi in busy environments can be slow and intermittent.
Step 4: Limit concurrent devices on the same network
If many devices are syncing simultaneously they share bandwidth. Stagger content updates by scheduling them at off-peak hours (e.g. 2–4 AM).
